Will your heirs actually be able to access your crypto?

At Léman Héritage, we help you pass on crypto under Swiss law. Confidentially, without ever holding your keys or exposing your secrets.

Aligned with Swiss Civil Code (Art. 560 SCC) • Confidential advisory in Geneva

Based in Geneva, working with private clients and their counsel.

Why a Will Alone Cannot Protect Digital Assets

Crypto still needs a practical and confidential way to access it.

Secrets do not belong in a will

Recovery information placed in a Swiss will (Art. 505 SCC) becomes accessible to heirs, notaries and the competent authorities when the estate is opened. What must stay secret cannot safely live in the will itself.

A bank safe alone is not a plan

On death, Swiss banks seal safe deposit boxes. Heirs may wait months for a certificate of heirs before they can reach physical backups, if they even know those backups exist.

No court can reopen a locked wallet

Unlike a bank account, digital assets cannot be recovered by judicial order alone. Without prepared access and transfer instructions, substantial wealth can be lost for good.

We never hold your keys

We do not take custody of your assets, and we never learn your secrets.

Access details stay with you. We do not see, handle or store them. Control remains yours and your designated heirs’.

You complete the sensitive steps yourself. We guide the structure and the process, without ever touching the holdings.

How we work with you

Five steps, from the first conversation to an annual review.

  1. 01

    Initial assessment

We review how your crypto is held today and where succession could fail. We then propose a structure that fits your estate and your advisors.

  2. 02

    Setup

We put in place the infrastructure for you to create durable backups and access arrangements, without sharing secrets with us, including seed phrases and passphrases. Entirely confidential.

  3. 03

    Instructions for heirs

We document and seal clear instructions for your heirs, meant to sit alongside your will without revealing confidential information.

  4. 04

    Practice run

A discreet rehearsal so the right people know what to do when the time comes.

  5. 05

    Annual review

Once a year we revisit the arrangement with you, so it stays aligned with your holdings, your family situation and Swiss succession requirements.

About the founder

Clyve Lo-A-Njoe · Founder, Léman Héritage · Geneva

Clyve has been in crypto since 2012. From the start, seeing how exchanges and custodians could fail, he was convinced that self-custody was the only way to stay in control of digital assets.

Later, with more of his own crypto at stake, the questions became personal, and hard to ignore: how to protect his crypto, recover it if needed, and make sure his family could access it if something happened to him. He built the answer for himself first: hardware wallets, sealed envelopes, and clear instructions for his family. That gave him confidence the arrangement would work when it mattered.

Léman Héritage grew out of that work. Based in Geneva, Clyve helps private clients put the same kind of confidential succession arrangements in place under Swiss law. He never holds client keys or sees their secrets, and he works alongside their notary or attorney rather than replacing them.

He is also founder of Blue Arca Cybersecurity, with twenty years in cybersecurity and IT risk. He is CISSP certified and has provided independent testing for private-wealth and asset-management firms across multiple jurisdictions.
